Ever get to the end of the day and just feel worn down and exhausted?
Don't let that be an excuse not to have a date night.

Usually, when you get to the point of exhaustion, you're not about to run to the store. It's always nice to have a few "extra items" on hand or ready to go.
Why not pamper yourself and your spouse by creating a spa right from home?
This is a regular go-to date at our home, and we love it.
It can be as simple as giving each other a good backrub or foot rub, turning on some peaceful music, and soaking your feet together in warm water while you talk about the day.
If you have enough energy to dress it up here are a few more ideas:
-
Bust out some fancy drinks or snacks. Refreshments make everything more fun. Even water can be fancy if you serve it ice cold in a goblet. Sparkling Apple Cider is a favorite option of ours too.
-
Throw a bath bomb into the water as you soak your feet.
-
Burn a great smelling candle or use some essential oils to help you relax and rejuvenate your mind.
-
Slice some cucumbers to place over your eyes. Why? Why not! It's fun, official, and the cool always feels great on your eyelids.
-
Microwave a damp towel for 15-30 seconds and give yourselves the hot towel treatment on your face or neck.
-
Dim the light. Harsh lighting can be too much at the end of a long day. Try using a lamp or candles for a soft and unwinding atmosphere.
-
Turn on some soothing music. Below is a link to one of our favorites for a night like this.
Remember kids get stressed out too. A family spa day or night is a great way for EVERYONE to unwind and make some great memories together!
