You can use any chalk, but soft pastel chalks (Not oil pastels) tend to work the best. They are brighter more intense color, and a smaller for more detailed work. They run between $10-$15 on Amazon for a good starter box with a variety of colors. I also really like Crayola chalk which also costs around $10/box. You can find a variety at most craft stores or even Walmart.
Now it's time to head outside and let the creative process begin.
