Wouldn't it be great if you and your spouse danced together like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers? Maybe that's only a dream I have. You decide for yourself, but in the meantime, why not take some lessons.
Lessons you say? But that takes money and leaving home! Now, now! Would I be recommending this date night if that were true? You can learn to dance the night away from the privacy of your own living room, at no cost (except perhaps to pay for your internet).
All you need are your feet and a clear area. If your house looks like mine at the end of the day, this might require scooching all books, toys, and assorted stuffed animals off to one side first. Feel free to dress up to make the evening even more memorable and be at your best for each other.
Here are a few lessons we have watched by ourselves and with our kids. I posted some of their links for absolute beginners here in case dancing is new to you. If you are already feeling confident and want to just polish up your technique, there are lots of videos for you as well.
As I sort of mentioned above, we've had family dance instruction days with these, too - so that my boys can one day dazzle a young lady who has dreams like mine. For a date night or a family activity, this is a simple and fun way to work your mind and your body while having a great time together.
